Mix a poodle and a chihuahua and what do you get. Megan! She is going to be 12 this year and I had adopted her from a box of puppies by the curb. As my parents had just put one of their dogs down I thought they might like a new puppy to love. My niece picked out Megan because she seemed to be different than all the others. I don't know how happy my parents were when I brought Megan home but they named her Megan. Megan was to be the name of their third child if they had one. Megan became my father's constant companion after my mom passed away. She seemed to give him comfort. As he got sicker and sicker the only constant was Megan on his lap. AFter he passed away Megan became our dog. Even though she still barks a lot she has quieted down a bit. She is not without her problems though. She is being treated for Cushings Disease as well as asthma and allergies. She also doesn't see really well which makes her bark at shadows.
